Daniel Heisler, Executive Vice President, Adler Realty Services
Daniel Heisler, CCIM, CPM®, leads the leasing and property management division of Adler Group, which represents over 3 million square feet of retail, office and industrial space throughout Florida and Virginia. Heisler is responsible for 23 different projects that generate approximately $50 million in revenue. He also manages 47 real estate professionals, including portfolio managers, property managers and leasing agents. Heisler's major lease transactions total over 300,000 square feet, and he has supervised over $7 million in capital projects, including tenant improvements, roof and cooling tower replacements and building lobby and energy efficiency upgrades.
Heisler joined Adler Group as a senior property manager for Adler Management Service in 1996. As senior property manager, he was responsible for directing the leasing and management of over 800,000 square feet of office, industrial and retail properties, including the Miami International Commercial Center (MICC). Heisler was then promoted to portfolio manager, where he managed a large portion of the South Florida assets as well as all the Company's out-of-state properties. He also developed policies, systems and procedures that assisted in Adler Realty Services' rapid growth during the last 10 years.
Before joining Adler, Heisler worked 7 years for Houston developer Hines Interests. While there, Heisler managed their portfolio of Class A office buildings in Broward County – which included the tallest building in Florida – overseeing all building operations and services, managing capital improvements and controlling operating expenses.
Heisler began his real estate career in college, working for ERA and Coldwell Bank purchasing, repositioning and selling distressed real estate and leasing residential property. He also served 4 years as a senior internal auditor for American Express.
Heisler received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami, with a major in Finance. Additionally, Heisler is licensed as both a Florida real estate and mortgage broker. He received his Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Heisler is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Building Owners and Managers Association, Miami-Dade Board of Realtors, CCIM Institute and the Beacon Council.
Jason Hochman, Managing Director of Acquisitions
Jason Hochman oversees the acquisitions team in its efforts to source and manage the acquisition of office, industrial and retail investment properties throughout the Southeastern United States. Since joining Adler in 2008, he successfully led the efforts in acquiring two properties totaling more than $60 million and 580,000 square feet.
Over the last decade, he was part of a team that acquired, developed, constructed and sold more than 500,000 square feet of commercial property in South Florida. The team also re-developed a 100+-acre business park, which included sales to various national operators. In addition, in an asset management role, he helped renovate and reposition a downtown Miami office tower, sparking new leases with international tenants and raising net operating income.
Prior to his career in real estate, he was a senior accountant at two Big 6 accounting firms, focusing primarily on taxation of real estate development firms.
Hochman earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He is a Miami native and a member of the Leadership Broward Foundation.
John Tombari, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Adler Development
John Tombari oversees the coordination and execution of development projects, as well as contract negotiations, site design and direction of the development staff. Tombari joined Adler Group in 2008 with more than 28 years of diverse development, architectural, construction and commercial real estate experience.
Tombari's previous experience and ability to navigate the complexities of the real estate development industry serve to further strengthen Adler's portfolio, particularly in creating value through the development, redevelopment and renovation of properties.
Over the first 9 years of his career, Tombari practiced architecture in California, New York and Florida. During that time, he was involved in the design and construction of projects, including retail shopping centers, office buildings, data centers, country club developments, government office buildings and public schools. Tombari has since been employed by Blockbuster Entertainment, Auto Nation, Corporate Project Management and most recently served as Senior Development Manager for the Stiles Corporation.
After earning a degree from the University of California at Berkeley's College of Environmental Design, Tombari secured his Architectural License and earned a Florida Certified General Contractor's License, as well as LEED AP certification. Tombari is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
